Twelth International Conference on the Analytic Element Method

The 12th International Conference on the Analytic Element Method will be held Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7, 2026, on the campus of Princeton University, Princeton, New Jersey. This will ba a pre-conference event of the IGWMC Groundwater Modeling and More conference . ICAEM abstracts are due by May 1. The biennial meeting provides an opportunity for participants to present, listen, and discuss the recent advances and applications in the Analytic Element Method with the community of scientists and engineers most involved with the method.

Bakker and others release Timflow python solver for multi-layer flow

Timflow combines the packages TimML and TTim into one package --- running an existing TImML or TTim model is handled by an import statement. The names of several elements have been changed to be more descriptive (for example, HeadLineSinkString is now RiverString), but the old names still work (you get a Deprecation warning). And there are some innovative new elements such as TargetHeadWell, WellString, RadialCollectorWell, and BuildingPit. Timflow is free and open-source. Check it out: https://github.com/timflow-org/timflow or simply install with pypi.

A hands on short course will be offered at Princeton University by Mark Bakker and David Brakenhoff following the Groundwater Modeling and More Conference at Princeton University on Thursday June 11.
